Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women affiliated to the University of Delhi and funded by Govt. of NCT of Delhi, was established in the year 1989. The College offers B.Sc. (Hons) in Electronics, Instrumentation, Food Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical Science, and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Bio-Chemistry, Statistics, Bachelor in Management Studies, Bachelor of Business Administration (FIA) and B.A. (Hons.) Psychology. These courses provide the platform where the students are equipped with the essential and practical knowledge to face the challenging positions worldwide country.
The college has well-qualified and competent faculty. An essential aspect of the teaching process is the ability to learn, unlearn and relearn. The teaching philosophy in the college is that the difference between the teacher and the taught has to be dissolved as the teacher and the taught are part of one process. The college has efficient support staff responsible for the smooth functioning of various laboratories and administrative work in the college.
The college has about 1000 students at present hailing from different parts of the country. The college gives its students the opportunity to excel in sports and co-curricular activities as well. There are various societies in the college like Mukhauta (Street play society), Aharyaa (Dance society), Philyra (Music society), Elvira (Fine arts society), Shuffle Shots (Photography club), Glamfire (Fashion society), and Inklings (Literary society). There are students clubs like robotics club Eco club to enhance their skills for career opportunities.
Besides regular courses college conducts Conferences, Workshops and Seminars on various relevant fields. The college in collaboration with CISCO runs a CISCO networking academy and prepares the students for CCNA industry certification. The college also has an Indira Gandhi Open National University (IGNOU) centre for Post-Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking (PGDLAN).

College Placement Cell associated with AMCAT for conducting skill assessment test of students from various streams and were provided job opportunities based on an assessment. Central Placement Cell of Delhi University delivers a gateway to college students for campus placements in different reputed industries. Student Alumni had been placed in various companies like HCL, Ranbaxy, TCS, Coca-Cola, Wipro, Tech Mahindra etc.

Prospectus can be obtained on all working days (Monday through Friday) between 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. from the college office on payment (non-refundable) at the counter in cash.
The original Certificates and two sets of self-attested photocopies of the following documents have to be submitted at the time of admission:
Copy of Admission Form of the University of Delhi submitted online / offline.
Class 10th Certificate as evidence of the date of birth.
Class 10th Marks-sheet.
Class 12th Marks-sheet.
Class 12th Provisional / Original Certificate.
Character Certificate (recent) from the institution last attended.
SC/ST/PWD/CW/KM Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority.
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority.
Transfer Certificate from the School / College as well as Migration Certificate from Board / University is required from those students who have passed Senior Secondary Examination from outside Delhi.
At least two passport size self-attested photographs. The University will accept self-attested copies of documents/papers provided by the students. It is made clear that if any false attestation / falsified records are detected, the students will be debarred from attending any course in the University or its college(s) for next five years and in addition, a criminal case under relevant section of IPC (viz. 470, 471, 474, etc.) will be instituted against her, to subject her to the requisite criminal proceeding.
