COMEDK - Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka is the association of Private Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.

COMEDK conducts 2 annual Entrance Tests. Under Graduate Entrance Test[UGET] which is for admission to Under Graduate Courses(MBBS, BDS, BE, BArch). UGET is conducted in parallel with the Government's CET for determining merit of students seeking admissions to the first year of Medical, Dental and Engineering courses of the Member Institutions in Karnataka. COMEDK UGET entrance test, publication of test score and rank list will be followed by a centralised counselling. These processes are modeled on the Karnataka CET. After AICTE, MCI and DCI approve the intake (number of seats) for various colleges every year, the COMEDK, the KMCA and the Government share the seats. This is called as the government - private seat sharing ratio.

The Karnataka government and private colleges fixed the seat-sharing formula at 50:50 for Engineering and 42:58 for Medical courses for 2010. On this seat sharing basis, COMEDK fills its share of seats by its UGET. COMEDK Colleges also have a limited number of NRI quota and the Management quota seats. No entrance test is conducted to fill these seats as those seats can be filled at the Management's discretion. COMEDK 2010 will hold UGET for Medical, Dental & Engineering seats. Note that Only centralized counseling will be held for B.Arch. There will be No entrance test for this course.

The other entrance exam is for Post Graduate courses in Medical, Dental and Engineering courses called Post Graduate Entrance Test[PGET].
